01.27.09 // Punch you in the eye

It’s not until March this year when my favorite band will descend upon Hampton, VA and change the place into hippie heaven for three days, but I’ve already started talking about it with my friends. Calling the first song, wondering what t-shirt Trey will have on, hoping it’s not too cold in the lot while walking down Shakedown Street.

And then, I was watching skiing on NBC this weekend, and while they were reviewing the rankings, there in the background, I heard it. A very noticeable tune. Whoever was working that day was definitely a phan, because it was most definitely Punch You in the Eye (PYITE) – a jumping old school Phish classic.

Thanks NBC – you gave me a weekend boost.
